PRAYERS FOR ALL NINE DAYS

By the sign of the Holy Cross, from our enemies free us , Our Lord God. In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Act of Contrition

My Lord Jesus Christ, God and true man; Creator, Father and my Redeemer; for You being who You are: infinite goodness, and because I love You above all things, it weighs on me deeply having offended You; it also weighs on me because you can punish me with the pains of Hell. Assisted by Your Divine Grace, I firmly propose to sin no more, to confess and to fulfill the penitence imposed on me. Amen.

Salutation for all Nine Days

Hail Mary, full of grace and most blessed among all women; singular Virgin, sovereign and perfect Virgin, chosen to be Mother of God and preserved for this from all sin since the first moment of your conception; just as through Eve death came to us, through you comes life, which, by the grace of God, you have been chosen to be the mother of the new people that Jesus Christ has formed with His Blood.

We come to you, most pure Mother, restorer of the fallen lineage of Adam and Eve, confident and supplicant in this Novena, to plead that you grant us the grace to be true children of you and your Son Jesus Christ, free from all stain of sin. Remember, most Holy Virgin, that you have been made Mother of God, not only for your dignity and glory, but also for our own salvation and the benefit of the entire human race.

Remember that never has it been heard that not even one who has recoursed to your protection and implored your succor has been abandoned. Do not leave me defenseless either since if you do, I will be lost. I also do not want to leave you; moreover, each day I want to grow more and more in true devotion to you. I ask that you grant me these three graces: the first, not to commit any more mortal sin; the second, to gain a great appreciation for virtue, and third, a good death. Lastly, I ask that you grant me the particular grace that I ask you in this Novena, if it is for the greater glory of God, of you and for the good for my soul.

NINTH DAY
O Most Holy Son of Mary Immaculate and our most benign Redeemer! Just like you granted to Mary the grace to go to Heaven and to there be placed in first position after you, we humbly implore You, by intercession of Your Immaculate Mother, to grant us a good death, that we well receive the last Sacraments, that we expire without any stain of sin in our conscience and that we go to Heaven to always enjoy Your company and that of our Mother, together with all those who have been saved by her.

Ask for the grace you desire to obtain

Pray the Our Father, the Hail Mary and Glory, three times, with the following invocation each time:

V. O Mary, conceived without sin,
R. Pray for us, who recourse to you.

OUR FATHER

Our Father, Who Art In Heaven
Hallowed Be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Liberate us from all temptation[*]
And deliver us from all evil. Amen

[*] Liberate us is in keeping with the original Latin text.
       God usually does not "lead us" to temptation
       (unless we are tested),
       but gives us the grace to overcome and/or resist it
X
HAIL MARY

Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art though among women,
And blessed is the fruit
Of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mary of God
Pray for us sinners
Now, and in the hour
Of our death. Amen

APOSTLE'S CREED

I believe in God, the Father Almighty Creator of Heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His Only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the
[work and grace of the] Holy Ghost,[*]
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into the Dead.[**]
On the third day, He rose again;
He ascended into Heaven,
And sits at the right hand of God,
the Father Almighty.
From thence he shall come to judge
the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost,[*]
The Holy Catholic Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins.
The resurrection of the body,
And life everlasting. Amen

[*] Holy Ghost: may be substituted with the current Holy Spirit.
[**] the Dead: "inferi", the underworld or the dead in Latin.
X
GLORIA

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Ghost[*],
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

[*] Holy Ghost: may be substituted with the current Holy Spirit.

DE PROFUNDIS

Out of the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord:
Lord, hear my voice.
Let Thine ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplication.

If thou, O Lord, wilt mark iniquities:
Lord, who shall abide it.
For with Thee there is merciful forgiveness:
and because of Thy law,
I have waited for Thee, O Lord.

My soul hath waited on His word:
my soul hath hoped in the Lord.
From the morning-watch even until night,
let Israel hope in the Lord.

For with the Lord there is mercy:
and with Him plenteous redemption.
And He shall redeem Israel
from all her iniquities.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son,
and to the Holy Ghost[*],
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

[*] Holy Ghost: may be substituted with the current Holy Spirit.

"Requiem aeternam" (Eternal Rest) three times a day.
Pope Leo XIII, February 3, 1888)

Let us pray:
O God, the Creator and Redeemer of all
the faithful, we beseech Thee to grant
to the souls of Thy servants the remission
of their sins, so that by our prayers
they may obtain pardon for which they long.
O Lord, who lives and reigns,
world without end. Amen

May they rest in peace. Amen

DE PROFUNDIS

Desde lo hondo a Ti grito, Seor; Seor,
escucha mi voz;
Estn Tus oidos atentos
a la voz de mi splica.

Si llevas cuenta de los delitos, Seor,
quin podr resistir?
Pero de ti procede el perdn,
y as infundes respeto.
Mi alma espera en el Seor.

Espera en su palabra;
mi alma aguarda al Seor,
ms que el centinela la aurora.
Aguarda Israel al Seor.

Como el centinela la aurora;
porque del Seor viene la misericordia.
la redencin copiosa;
y l redimir a Israel de todos sus delitos.

Gloria al Padre, al Hijo y al
Espritu Santo,
como es desde el principio,
es ahora y ser por los siglos de los siglos.
