Urgent Prayer to Pope Saint John Paul II
Our Lady of Czestochowa embracing Pope John Paul II stained glass window
O Saint John Paul, from the window of Heaven impart on us your blessing!
Bless the Church, which you have loved, served, and guided, animating her to walk with courage through the paths of the world so as to carry Jesus to all and all to Jesus.
Bless the young, who have been your great passion. Grant them their return to dream, to go back to look up to the most high so as to find the light, that illuminates the paths of life on the earth.
Bless the families. Bless each family!
You warned us on the assault of Satan against this precious and indispensable spark from Heaven, that God lit over the earth.
Saint John Paul, with this prayer protect all familes and the life that comes from the family.
Plead for the whole world, still marked by tensions, wars and injustices. You opposed yourself to war, invoking dialogue and sowing love: plead for us, so that we may be untiring sowers of peace.
O Saint John Paul, from the window of Heaven, where we see you together with Mary, make it so that the blessing of God descend over all of us. Amen

OUR FATHER
Our Father, Who Art In Heaven
Hallowed By Thy Name.
Your Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
Liberate us from all temptation[*]
And deliver us from all evil. Amen

[*] Liberate us is in keeping with the original Latin text.
God usually does not "lead us" to temptation (unless we are tested),
but gives us the grace to overcome and/or resist it

HAIL MARY
Hail Mary, full of grace
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art though among women,
And blessed is the fruit
Of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mary of God
Pray for us sinners
Now, and in the hour
Of our death. Amen

APOSTLE'S CREED
I believe in God, the Father Almighty Creator of Heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ, His Only Son, our Lord;
Who was conceived by the [work and grace of the] Holy Ghost,[*]
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into the Dead.[**]
On the third day, He rose again;
He ascended into Heaven,
And sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty.
From thence he shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost,[*]
The Holy Catholic Church,
The communion of saints,
The forgiveness of sins.
The resurrection of the body,
And life everlasting. Amen
